The month of October has been a lot of fun with Youth in Action at the Mimico Centennial Library. Crafts, activities and a Halloween party were some of the things we enjoyed together.
One day, the group tried out their arm-knitting skills, making winter scarves.
Another day was full of minute-to-win-it activities. We did a relay race, the cookie-face challenge, and other challenges including one where the group acted like spies, maneuvering through 'lasers' to get to the other side unscathed, and another challenge where they had to get the whole group from one side of a 'river of lava' using limited 'floating logs'.
For our special, Halloween party, the group got their makeup done to complete their amazing costumes. Thanks to the volunteers, Megan and Julian for helping make the group perfect for their night of trick-or-treating!
