The Sankofa Youth Drop-In kicked off December with some friendly competition. Teams worked together to complete a series of mini challenges in 60 seconds or less and let’s just say things got a bit loud as teams encouraged each other to complete the task at hand.
Teams started off with the Cookie Face challenge – where they had 60 seconds to move a cookie from their forehead to their mouth using only their facial muscles.
Dusting off the cookie crumbs, teams then had to move 25 Skittles from one plate to another using a straws.
Next it was time to Defy Gravity! Teams had to keep three balloons in the air for one minute, which sounds easy, but trust us when we say it was not!
This was followed by Say Ahhh!, where teams had to stack and balance 10 sugar cubes on a popsicle stick for 3 seconds.
Then came the On the Nose! challenge, where teams had to move 5 cotton balls using only their nose from side of the room to another. Absolutely no hands allowed!
And finally the most challenging challenge of the day, Noodle Pick-up! Holding a spaghetti noodle in their mouth, teams had to try and pick up as many penne noodles as they could in just 60 seconds.
Fun times at the Sankofa Drop-in!
