Winter is Ice skating season

Getting ready for the action, with some help.
Winter season is the season for getting some action on the ice skating rink. It is a time when the cold doesn't matter much, because the friendships formed on the ice is warm enough to melt away the chill.

This year, we are fortunate to partner with Wallace Emerson Skating Rink to provide the space and the free skate rentals for CultureLink's youth to have some skating fun once a month during Sankofa Drop-In Thursdays.

Stylish on the ice.
Some of us are skating for the first time. Some of us are more experienced skaters than others, and some of us are not yet ready to put on some skates to try it out for ourselves. But regardless, all of us had fun. The more experienced skaters provide help and support for the less experienced ones. Those of us who don't feel ready to try it out play games on the side, and others play in the snow.

One of the best part about going to Wallace Emerson is that the staff there are friendly and nice. They welcome us with steaming hot chocolate when we come in from the cold outside. That's so lovely!

Looking cool (pun unintended).
Getting better all the time!
Unforgettable friendship!

Cold hands, warm hearts!

Thanks for the opportunity! Looking forward to the next skating season!
